Depletion of thiols (particularly glutathione) from germinating fungal cells, leading to disruption of glycolysis and energy production, fungistasis
Multi-site inhibitor affecting various enzymes and other metabolic processes in fungi
Exerts its effect on fungi by tying up free glutathione and prevents activation (reduction) of glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase, and perhaps similar other enzymes
Inhibits spore germination and is toxic to fungal cell

No specific antidote. Treat symptomatically. Antihistamines may be given or apply steroid creams or systemic steroid to control allergic manifestation.
